A Belle Époque Delight
Château de la Croix Boisée is a richly ornamented Neo-Renaissance "petit chateau" built in the late 1800s. It is known in the region for its colorful and unique faïence tiles, sculpted ornamentation and decorative brickwork.
Located between the historic cities of Tours and Le Mans, it is perfectly situated to enjoy the delights of the Loire Valley: castles, wine, gastronomy, nature walks, gardens, cathedrals and thousands of years of cultural inspiration.
Featuring beautiful bedrooms, an indoor pool, spa and gym, the chateau is a welcoming blend of comfort, elegance and attention to detail.
The château is nestled in a charming village within walking distance to amenities such as vineyards with wine tastings, an amazing bakery, bar, restaurant and a gorgeous lake.
Within 10 minutes' drive are more charming towns full of antique stores and local markets. Within 30 minutes to 1 hour's drive are some of the most spectacular royal and romantic castles, cathedrals and cities in the world.

Welcome to chateau life and Chateau Love! We are Simon and Vivienne, an English-American couple who bought our first chateau in the Loire Valley 25 years ago. After decades of renovations, hosting groups and weddings, and sharing our lives publicly, there can be no doubt that we love “all things chateau”, hence the name.We also love great food, wine, conversation, laughter, beauty, culture, travel, and a soupçon of silliness!
You may know us already from our YouTube channel “Chateau Love”, or perhaps you have seen us on the television show “Chateau DIY” (Chateau XXL). Or maybe... just maybe... you found us as you were looking for the perfect escape... a way to experience chateau life and visit French castles among friends.
