DAY ONE - WELCOME TO LA CROIX BOISEE
Just beautiful food, good wine and long evenings around the table with new friends. Tea and coffee await you, followed by a tour of La Croix Boisée and time to unpack, explore or relax in the spa and pool.
As evening approaches, we'll gather for our first cocktails and a welcome musical performance. Then it's time for our decidedly less formal opening dinner. Silly Christmas sweaters encouraged!
DAY TWO - CHAMBORD
After breakfast and a relaxed spa morning, let’s escape to one of the Loire Valley's most celebrated chateau : the utterly spectacular and incomparable Château de Chambord where we will delight in the decorations before returning home for an elegant yet relaxed dinner.
DAY THREE - CHENONCEAU & VILLANDRY
Today we venture into the Loire Valley for two spectacular chateau experiences. Our first destination is Chateau de Chenonceau, one of the most beautiful and romantic chateau in France, where we will also enjoy lunch. In the afternoon we continue to Chateau de Villandry, famous for its extraordinary gardens and elegant interiors. Then it's home to La Croix Boisée for cocktails and dinner.
DAY FOUR - CHRISTMAS IN AMBOISE
After breakfast, we'll travel to the historic royal town of Amboise. We'll explore the Chateau Royal d'Amboise, enjoy lunch in town and then walk to the enchanting Chateau Gaillard. Return to la Croix Boisee in the late afternoon, with time to unwind before cocktails and dinner.
DAY FIVE - LE MANS
Christmas Market & Cathedral
After our many adventures to see castles, today we have a relaxed morning. We'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some spa time before lunch in our local village. Then we head to the medieval centre of Le Mans for its legendary Christmas Market and Cathedral. You'll be astonished by the lights! At home a lovely dinner awaits...
DAY SIX - OUR FRENCH CHATEAU CHRISTMAS
Today we stay closer to home and immerse ourselves in French Christmas traditions. The morning begins in the kitchen at La Croix Boisée with a French Christmas cooking demonstration in the chateau kitchen led by Marie Wiik. Lunch will be in our local village. Back at the chateau, we'll gather in the Orangery for our Nutcracker decorating workshop. As evening approaches, we'll head into our neighboring vineyards for a wine tasting and tour of the wine caves at Domaine de Cezin. Then we'll return to the Chateau for a very special traditional Nutcracker - themed Christmas dinner.
DAY SEVEN - ANTIQUES &
OUR CHRISTMAS SOIREE
After breakfast at the chateau, we'll head to La Chartre-sur-Le-Loir for a morning of antique hunting before lunch in the village. With dozens of lovely shops to choose from, the biggest challenge will be, "what will fit into my suitcase"? In the afternoon, we'll return to La Croix Boisée for some relaxation and spa time before cocktails and dinner.
After returning to La Croix Boisée, there will be time to dress for our final evening together.

CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL PARTY &
SOIREE MUSICALE
A celebratory final evening of cocktails, music, food and Christmas at the chateau.
DAY EIGHT - AU REVOIR
Enjoy one final leisurely breakfast together before departures between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. Transportation to the train station will be arranged, and we'll say "au revoir" - hopefully with new friendships, wonderful memories and perhaps an antique treasure or two tucked into your suitcase! Train station transfers on arrival and departure. And, most importantly, a week of living, dining and celebrating Christmas together in a private French chateau.
