Politiques de séjour et de réservation
(Conditions générales)
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
By reserving a place on a retreat, workshop, or other experience organised by Chateau Love SAS, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy prior to your arrival at Château de La Croix Boisée.
COMPANY INFORMATION:
Your booking is made with Chateau Love SAS, a company registered in France, with its registered address at:
Chateau de La Croix Boisee, 10 Route du Val de Loir, 72340 Marçon, France
These Terms & Conditions apply to the retreat, workshop, or experience (referred to as the “Activity”) taking place in all or part of Château de La Croix Boisée (referred to as the “Property” or “Facility”).
Contact: info@chateau-love.com
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:
“Organizers” refers to employees and representatives of Chateau Love SAS. “Facilitators” refers to independent professionals engaged for an Activity, including workshop leaders, teachers, artists, guest instructors, and other independent contractors.
“Guests, Attendees, or Participants” refers to any person whose place on a retreat, workshop, or activity has been reserved through payment of a deposit or the full booking amount.
PAYMENTS, DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS
Currency:
All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and payments must be made in Euros. Where a guest is paying from an account held in another currency, the guest is responsible for confirming applicable exchange rates, conversion charges, and banking fees with their own financial institution.
Payments & Deposits:
If a booking is made within 100 days of an activity, the amount is due in full. Otherwise, if someone does not wish to pay in full at the time of booking, a deposit of 35% of the total booking price is required to confirm and secure a reservation. Depending on how many months remain before the booking, the balance can be paid in two installments at least 150 days and 90 days before the event begins, or just one installment at least 90 days before the event begins. Once the deposit has been paid, guests will be emailed with the payment schedule and will subsequently be sent a secure invoice via the website payment portal. No payments may be taken on-site or upon arrival.
Cancellations:
If a booking has been paid in full but is cancelled over 150 days before the event commences, 65% of the booking will be refunded. If the booking has been paid in full but is cancelled between 150 and 90 days before the event commences, 32.5% of the booking will be refunded. If the booking is cancelled within 90 days of the event commencing, no refunds will be issued.
All 35% deposits and full booking payments made within 90 days of an event are non-refundable, as Chateau Love SAS incurs advance costs associated with instructors, facilitators, suppliers, vendors, and the organisation of each retreat or workshop.
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase appropriate “all reasons” travel insurance to protect themselves against circumstances that could prevent or interrupt their trip.
No refund will be given for early departure from the Château or for meals, activities, excursions, workshops, or other elements of the programme that a guest chooses not to use or attend.
Cancellation by Chateau Love SAS:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, or where minimum enrolment is not reached (fewer than four attendees), Chateau Love SAS reserves the right to cancel a retreat or workshop.
If Chateau Love SAS cancels the retreat, payments made to Chateau Love SAS will be refunded in full. Chateau Love SAS will not, however, reimburse incidental or third-party expenses incurred by guests, including airline tickets or other travel-related costs. Please ensure you have full travel insurance to avoid external expense losses that may be incurred.
Should a facilitator or instructor become unable to participate because of illness or injury, the retreat or workshop may continue as planned. Where appropriate, guests will receive a pro-rata refund corresponding to the affected facilitator fees.
THE CHÂTEAU & YOUR STAY
Property Use & Guest Etiquette:
Château de La Croix Boisée is a private historic property, and we kindly ask all guests to treat the Château, its contents, grounds, and other guests with consideration.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Château.
Guest rooms should be left in substantially the same condition in which they were provided. Guests are responsible for damage they cause to the Property, furnishings, equipment, or contents during their stay.
For safety and operational reasons, the Château kitchen is not available for guest use.
Children & Guests Under 18:
Our experiences, retreats and events are designed exclusively for adults aged 18 years and over.
Anyone under the age of 18 may attend or be present during a retreat or workshop only where Chateau Love SAS has provided specific prior permission.
If a person under 18 is permitted to be on the Château grounds during a retreat or stay, they must remain under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times. That parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for the minor's care, conduct, safety, and supervision.
Historic Property & Assumption of Risk:
Château de La Croix Boisée is a historic building and, by its nature, differs from a modern hotel or purpose-built accommodation facility.
Historic properties can include stairs, changes in floor level, uneven surfaces, older architectural features, exterior pathways, and other characteristics inherent to buildings of this age.
Although the comfort and safety of our guests are important to us, certain areas may present difficulties for people with limited mobility.
By booking a stay, guests acknowledge and accept the ordinary risks associated with staying in and visiting an historic property.
HEALTH, DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & ALLERGIES
Food Allergies & Dietary Requirements:
We make every reasonable effort to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions notified to us in advance. However, our kitchen is not an allergen-free environment, and we cannot guarantee that meals or food-preparation areas will be completely free from traces of particular allergens.
Guests with severe or potentially life-threatening food allergies should carefully consider this limitation before making a reservation.
Château de La Croix Boisée is also a property situated within a natural environment of gardens, vegetation, and wildlife. Guests with allergies or sensitivities to animals, pollen, plants, insects, or other environmental allergens should take this into consideration before booking.
Medical Conditions & Accessibility:
Guests remain responsible for managing their own health conditions, medications, and prescriptions throughout their stay.
Because Château de La Croix Boisée is an historic property, accessibility is necessarily limited in some areas. Retreat programmes may also involve optional visits, excursions, stairs, gardens, historic monuments, and periods of walking.
Participants should therefore be capable of walking independently and without assistance for at least 30 minutes.
Guests with concerns about mobility or accessibility are encouraged to contact Chateau Love SAS before booking.
ACCOMMODATION
Guest Rooms
Our bedrooms are individually decorated and vary in size, layout, furnishings, and character. Room assignments are made according to the order in which registrations are received.
Bed linens, towels, bathrobes and toiletries are provided.
In keeping with the atmosphere and character of the Château, guest bedrooms do not have televisions. Guests are, of course, welcome to use their own phones, tablets, laptops, or other personal devices for streaming.
Offsite Participants
Where an Activity permits participation without accommodation at Château de La Croix Boisée, offsite participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodation and transportation.
Chateau Love SAS accepts no responsibility for problems, losses, cancellations, or other issues relating to independently booked accommodation or transportation.
MEALS & BEVERAGES
Meals
Our all-inclusive retreat rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with menus inspired by traditional French cuisine and seasonal ingredients. On certain days where specified, guests may be responsible for purchasing their own lunches.
We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary preferences notified to us in advance. However, because of the nature and limitations of our kitchen and menus, not every dietary requirement can be accommodated.
Wine, Cocktails & Non-Alcoholic Options
Food and drink form part of the Château Love experience, and selected wines and beer may be offered during your stay.
Guests are welcome to let us know in advance whether they prefer alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages so that we can plan accordingly.
CHANGE OF ROOM OCCUPANCY
In the event you wish to change your room occupancy from Single to Double or Double to Single, please contact us directly so we can make the necessary changes to your booking and apply any necessary price reductions or surcharges.
POOL, GYM & SPA RISK
Use of the pool, gym and spa facilities are entirely at your own risk. There is not a lifeguard present at the pool, so it is expected that all guests know how to swim if they enter the pool. Users of the gym, hot tub, sauna and steam room must be in good health. Those with heart conditions, pregnancy, high blood pressure, skin ailments, or other health challenges should consult with their doctors before using these facilities. The sauna is heated at 75* C. The steam room is heated at 45*C. The hot tub is heated at 38*C. The pool is heated at 27* C. Guests must ensure they have the correct physical strength before engaging in any gym activities or using any gym equipment.
PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING & MEDIA
Chateau Love SAS may take photographs and record video during retreats, workshops, and other activities for marketing, editorial, social media, website, and promotional purposes.
Guests who do not wish to appear in photographs or video should inform Chateau Love SAS in writing before the retreat begins.
LIABILITY & ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
By participating in a Chateau Love stay, event, experience, retreat, workshop, or activity, guests acknowledge that travel, accommodation in an historic property, excursions, workshops, and other activities may involve inherent risks.
These may include, but are not limited to, accidents and events outside the reasonable control of Chateau Love SAS, including natural events, acts of God, and pandemics.
Guests accept responsibility for the ordinary risks associated with their participation and stay. Chateau Love SAS is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY
In the event of an unexpected medical emergency, the facilitators of your retreat will do everything within our power to assist you with local doctors or hospitals. Please ensure that you have full-coverage travel insurance to cover any related expenses.
QUESTIONS, COMPLAINTS & DISPUTES
If a problem arises during your stay, please bring it to the attention of a Chateau Love organiser as soon as possible. This gives us the opportunity to investigate the issue and, wherever possible, resolve it promptly.
These Terms & Conditions and your booking with Chateau Love SAS are governed by French law.
Any dispute requiring formal mediation, arbitration, or other legal resolution will be handled in France in accordance with applicable French law and procedures, with Chateau Love SAS based in the Department of Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France.
PROTECTING YOUR TRIP
Unexpected events can happen before or during international travel. For this reason, we strongly encourage every guest to purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.
Guests should consider insurance providing appropriate protection for trip cancellation, interruption, illness, medical expenses, delayed or cancelled transportation, baggage, and other unexpected circumstances.
One provider guests may wish to consider is World Nomads, although guests are free to select whichever insurance provider and policy best suits their individual circumstances.
